World of Warcraft Servers Under DDoS Attack, Blizzard Working Towards a Solution

World of Warcraft servers are under another DDoS attack and developers are working hard to fix the problem.

It looks like we have another DDoS attack on our hands as the servers for World of Warcraft are bouncing on/offline constantly.

Players reported the problem to the authorities at Blizzard and sadly, they have confirmed the DDoS attack in a post. However, the company has assured fans that technicians are working to fix the problem as soon as they can.

Blizzard said:

It looks like our Network Technicians are actively working against a DDOS attack targeting our game services, which is why realms seem to be bouncing offline for a short time and then reconnecting. Our best and brightest are on the case!

Thanks for the details, everyone. Keep ’em coming!

For the time being, we don’t who attacked WoW servers nor we know why. However, this isn’t the first time and it certainly won’t be the last DDoS on WoW.

Previously, similar attacks have brought down servers for the game, in addition to Battle.Net. From the looks of it, this attack isn’t as massive as previous ones, which indicates that it wouldn’t take long for technicians to fix the issue.
