World of Warcraft: Legion Currently in Internal Alpha; Likely to be Playable at Blizzcon

Blizzard has confirmed that World of Warcraft: Legion is already in internal alpha and is expected to enter beta sometime this year.

Speaking with MMOGames, Vice President and Game Director Tom Chilton confirmed that the upcoming expansion is already in internal alpha and is expected to enter beta sometime this year:

Well we’re already in internal alpha and we expect the beta this year. That’s about all we know at this point.

Chilton also said that it is very likely that the World of Warcraft: Legion will be playable at the Blizzcon where Blizzard will show and talk about some new stuff:

It’s very likely that the first playable tour of the world will be at Blizzcon. Certainly we’ll have some new stuff to show and new stuff to talk about.
