Ubisoft Wants Your Help In Fixing Ghost Recon Breakpoint

If someone were to say that Ghost Recon Breakpoint had a slightly rocky launch, they would be making a pretty big understatement. The new installment was blasted by critics left and right for numerous bugs, glitches, technical and other gameplay issues, and an overall bad mission design. Ubisoft has now started bandaging those open wounds and will require all the help available.

In a roadmap update posted on Reddit last week, Ubisoft assured the community that Ghost Recon Breakpoint would be supported in the long term. The promised support not only covers new content, which is being worked on the sides, but also a ton of fixes for what ails the game right now.

The road to salvation begins today with patch 1.0.3 that will address “several issues such as drone deployment, fire rate, NVGs blocking crosshairs, Mission Completion notification pop-ups, and more.” Ubisoft will then follow up with another patch — “very soon” — that will address further issues plaguing Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

The biggest concern for players right now is that Ghost Recon Breakpoint has just too many issues to tackle all at once. Hence, the developer is currently focusing on “the most pressing issues and bugs” that would make life easier for the average player. In this regard, Ubisoft wants the community to put in requests for what they want to be fixed almost immediately.

Surveys are up and running at the time of writing. You’re asked to select up to five issues from a large pile that when fixed “would make Ghost Recon Breakpoint a better game for you”. These include a button to sell all weapons and gears at once, improvements to camera and menus, changes to in-game economy, improvements to enemy AI and vehicle handling, removing online requirements, adjustments to survival elements, and more.

The same survey also asks about features and content that you want to see in Ghost Recon Breakpoint in the near future. These include new story missions, new weapons and vehicles, new skills, raids, new customization options, and more.

Ubisoft will be closing the polls in about two weeks, after which the options with the most number of votes will be taken into priority. The results will be shared publicly as well for transparency purposes. The community is naturally gunning to fix Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Unfortunately, there’s going to be an extensive waiting period.

If you’ve been banging your head due to technical issues, here’s a little tweaking guide to smooth out Ghost Recon Breakpoint on PC. That should suffice until Ubisoft comes around with those promised patches.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint was released on September 5, 2019. It’s available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and also Google Stadia.
