Total War Saga Announced By Creative Assembly, A Series Of Historical Spin-Off Games

Creative Assembly has announced Total War Saga which will see the launch of Total War games that will focus on much more smaller periods in history

Total War is a popular franchise developed by Creative Assembly and after a slew of large-scale Total War games the studio has announced Total War Saga which will see the launch of Total War games that will focus on much more smaller periods in history compared to the other major titles in the franchise.

The first game in Total War Saga will launch before the next major release in the popular franchise. The game will offer the standard turn-based strategy campaigns and real-time battles which are the selling point of this whole franchise. The games in this saga will follow conflicts that will only last a few weeks or months.

Sagas won’t be revolutionary new titles or introduce brand-new eras,” explained game director Jack Lusted. “They’ll follow-on from previous Total War games and inhabit the same time-period, or at the very least relate to it. But these are certainly Total War games.

Game Director of the first game in the saga, Jack Lusted, explained that the game will build upon the blueprint of the previous titles and will focus on pivotal flashpoints in specific eras such as civil wars, renowned conquests, and political upheavals.

Do you think this the right direction for the series to go? Are you excited for these new games in the saga? Let us know in the comments.
