Super Mario Odyssey Won’t Have Any “Game Over” Screen Apparently

Nintendo has been revealing new details about the game and this time devs have revealed that Super Mario Odyssey will not have Game Over screen.

Nintendo fans are eager to get their hands on the upcoming Super Mario Odyssey which can’t happen for a few months. However, Nintendo has been revealing new details about the game like the game will have interesting local co-op and this time devs have revealed that the game will not have Game Over screen.

Thew news comes from the official twitter account for Super Mario Odyssey and as explained by Polygon the game not only has no Game Over screen but, the game will also not feature any kind of lives and 1-Ups for Mario in the game. But, the game does have a checkpoint system so when you die you won’t have to start from far back and there are also plenty of coins so you won’t have to worry about them.

Speaking of the game, Super Mario Odyssey also has another interesting feature in which Mario can possess anything in the game. The player will be able to throw Mario’s hat on anything and Mario will possess it. However, one modder has modded this ability in Super Mario 64 as there is still time before Nintendo releases the game for Switch.

Youtuber Kaze Emanuar has managed to mod the possession functionality of Mario’s hat in Super Mario 64 just days after its reveal.

Many games have been launched for Nintendo Switch since its release but, there are not many games that can pull off 60 FPS on the hybrid console. However, that is not the case with Super Mario Odyssey as Nintendo has announced that the game will run at 60 FPS on Nintendo Switch.

Super Mario Odyssey is an upcoming platformer in development at Nintendo and will launch this fall exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
