According to a new report, a fistful of characters reported to appear in Star Wars: The Force Awakens is first going to appear in Star Wars: Battlefront. Furthermore, the upcoming game will also feature some opening scenes from the movie.

Being developed by DICE, ‘Star Wars: Battlefront’ is an FPS experience which also allows players to gain control of several vehicles featured in the movies including AT-STs, Snowspeeders, Speeder Bikes, and more.

MakingStarWars reports that the game will allow players to choose some of the characters featured in the movie – both from the Republic and Empire sides.

All the characters we know so far include “Oscar Isaac as the Republic fighter pilot Poe Dameron, John Boyega as Finn in a Stormtrooper uniform and Daisy Ridley as the character Rey.” All of these characters and more are going to be featured in the game.

Coming to the game’s story, it is reportedly based on the original trilogy, but the campaign may bridge the gap between Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens accompanied by a few scenes from the movie.

Lastly, Star Wars: Battlefront will feature around five DLC packs – 2-3 of which will be based exclusively on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In addition to this, some of the vehicles scheduled to make an appearance in the movie will also appear in the game. Excited?
