Star Wars Battlefront Death Star DLC Getting A Free Weekend

Star Wars Battlefront Death Star DLC will be included in the Ultimate Edition of the game, featuring a free weekend to try this expansion pack.

Electronic Arts is trying really hard to make people enjoy Star Wars Battlefront as a Star Wars Battlefront Death Star DLC free weekend is coming for consoles and PC from November 28 to November 30, 2016.

Star Wars Battlefront Death Star DLC will also be included in Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition, a new version of the game, releasing within the next month.

This version of Star Wars Battlefront will include the vanilla version of the game, the season pass and the following expansion packs: Outer Rim, Bespin, Death Star and Rogue One: Scarif.

Preorders are open for $40 on PS4 and the retail copy can be found at this link.

However, a Star Wars game called Galaxy in Turmoil was released on Steam some time ago. It was a free game made by Frontwire. It gained a lot of attention during the development and after its release on the Steam platform, people were even more interested in playing it as it was different from Star Wars Battlefront.

Unfortunately, the growing attention wasn’t the best thing for this game as Frontwire received a letter from Lucasfilm officials asking to delete the game.

Of course, developers tried to convince Lucasfilm not to delete the game and they even had an official meeting after which Lucasfilm seemed to support this project.

Anyhow everything was useless. Even if Lucasfilm tried to prevent it from happening, Electronic Arts didn’t want this game to be online as they thought it could take attention away from Star Wars Battlefront.

And this is how Galaxy in Turmoil died.

Star Wars Battlefront is out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, while the Ultimate Edition will be released on November 18, 2016.
