Square Enix Trademarks Lara Croft Relic Run, Mobile Game?

Lara Croft Relic Run might be the a mobile game like Temple Run; Square Enix has filed a trademark only hours ago.

Alright so apparently, Square Enix thinks that we need some more Tomb Raider and Lara Croft related games because the ones we have already are just not enough – something tells me they might just be right about this!

Only a couple of hours ago, a new trademark filing for something called Lara Croft Relic Run surfaced online. The trademark was filed by Square Enix Ltd. on February 11, 2015 under three classes of goods and services namely the category 9, 16 and 41.

The first one refers to what this is probably going to be about i.e. a game software. In this class the trademark can be for anything related to computer games, mobile games, online publications, disks and tapes, DVDs and CD-ROMs for videogames and so on.

However, the part which I think is more likely reads “video games and games for mobile phones supplied on line by means of multi-media electronic broadcast or network transmission.”

I say this because the name, Lara Croft Relic Run, resembles an endless runner way more than a computer game or any adventure game whether it is based on consoles, PC or mobiles. I am thinking a Temple Run-like game.

This is not the only new thing in the world of Lara Croft; in fact Rise of the Tomb Raider is also slated for release in 2015. The developers have also been talking about it recently.

Obviously, Square Enix might not want to reveal what Lara Croft Relic Run is about just yet; which means we can sit back and speculate on what this can be. Shout out in the comments below and we will see who gets it right first.
