Square Enix Announces Kingdom Hearts The Story So Far For PS4 Exclusive

Square Enix has announced a new Kingdom Hearts The Story So Far compilation exclusively for the Playstation 4 before Kingdom Hearts 3 releases.

If you’ve already bought the various Kingdom Hearts compilation games in preparation for Kingdom Hearts 3 to come out, Square Enix might make you mad with the announcement of Kingdom Hearts The Story So Far, a mega compilation game that nets players 1.5, 2.5, and 2.8, along with all of the other Kingdom Hearts games.

Kingdom Hearts, as a game series that has spanned multiple decades, has a pretty long and complicated story involved in it that you might get lost in if Kingdom Hearts 3 will be your first one. The Story So Far allows players to get every single one of those games in one package, rather than the compilation games previously released.

Ranging from the main games of Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, to interquel games like Dream Drop Distance, Birth By Sleep, Chain of Memories, and Birth By Sleep: A Fragmentary Passage, Kingdom Hearts The Story So Far also includes the Back Cover movie that sets up the Kingdom Hearts X browser game, which was only released in Japan. While we don’t know if other games like Kingdom Hearts 358/2 or Re;coded will be given the cinematic treatment like their counterparts in the 1.5 and 2.5 HD remixes, it might still happen.

If you haven’t bought the remastered compilations already and are getting interested in Kingdom Hearts 3, which is coming out on January 25 for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, then getting Kingdom Hearts The Story So Far and being able to catch up will likely be the best bet for you.

The compilation will be releasing on October 30, and with all of the content that it involves you’ll probably be playing for the next three months in order to get all caught up before the third game comes out, especially since Kingdom Hearts 3 promises to be bigger and better than any other Kingdom Hearts game before it.

Kingdom Hearts 3 will be coming out exclusively for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 on January 25.
