Spider-Man PS4 has been in development for quite some time and fans have been waiting for Insomniac Games to announce the release date for it, however, there have been numerous leaks and rumors regarding the game’s release date and now a Marvel employee as hinted towards the Spider-Man PS4 release date.
Stephen Wacker didn’t exactly said outright but hinted that Spider-Man PS4 release date will be in October 2018 close to Red Dead Redemption 2.
If the Spider-Man game and Red Dead come out near each other, I’m pretty sure I’m going to lose my job.
In related news, the game will also feature Miles Morales and according to Creative Director Bryan Intihar, Miles Morales will have a bigger role in the game than expected.
He added that the studio originally planned Morales as a minor character but, his interactions with Pete were unique and decided to expand his role.
Miles is younger than Peter, and what they experience, and how they get into each other’s live is pretty unique. I said off the bat that we wanted to make a unique Spider-Man universe, one that obviously takes cues from the comics and movies, but also does something unique and different…I’m pretty excited about him and where we take him. It’s going to be something. It’s going to surprise people.
When it comes to Spider-Man villains there are a lot of them and Spidey has made enemies out of all of them and the game features MR. Negative as the main villain and according to the studio, they chose him because he s a lesser known villain. Not only that the game will feature enemies that will force players to mix strategies.
Spider-Man PS4 is an open-world action adventure game in development at Insomniac Games exclusively for PlayStation 4.
