Spider-Man PS4 Will Feature Villains That Will Force Players To Mix Up Their Strategy

Insomniac Games has revealed that Spider-Man PS4 is several times larger than Sunset Overdrive. Now, the devs have talked about the villain of the game.

Spider-Man PS4 is one of the most anticipated PlayStation exclusives and fans are eager to get their hands on it. It will be a while before we get to play the game but, Insomniac Games has revealed that the game is several times larger than Sunset Overdrive. Now, the devs have talked about the villain of the game.

In the latest issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine, creative director Bryan Intihar explained why the studio chose Mr.Negative as the villain for the upcoming Spider-Man PS4, given that he is the lesser known villain that Spidey has ever faced.

One of the reasons we chose the Inner Demons is because they have the negative energy weapons that require the player to mix up the strategies they use. We want to find villains that force Spider-Man and the player to mix up how they play: really push and pull them as much as possible.

In related news, Marvel recently explained the influence Batman Arkham games had on the upcoming Spider-Man title. Mike Jones, executive producer and vice president of Marvel Games, talked about Spider-Man PS4 and also hinted towards the influence of Rocksteady’s Batman Arkham series on the upcoming Spider-Man PS4.

The Arkham games…inspired us to lean into our characters and trust that nailing the uniqueness of each character experience is really what’s going to make the gameplay compelling.

He also revealed that he himself is a fan of Batman Arkham franchise and these games have inspired Spider-Man in terms of gameplay and characters.

Spider-Man PS4 is an open-world action adventure game in development at Insomniac Games exclusively for PlayStation 4.
