South Park Digital Studios has clarified that South Park The Fractured But Whole will not be coming to the newly released Nintendo Switch.
Earlier this week official South Park Twitter account Tweeted which depicted Cartman frozen in a blizzard with a caption “Nin-ten-do. I’m coming”. This tweet was taken as a tease for the South Park The Fractured But Whole possible Nintendo Switch release.
Speaking with IGN, a representative from South Park Digital Studios clarified that South Park The Fractured But Whole will not be coming to Nintendo Switch.
Recently, the developers outlined the combat changes in South Park The Fractured But Whole and the game’s origins. According to devs, the game starts the very next day after the events of Stick Of Truth with the same character.
So there’s Stick of Truth, and this literally happens like the next day in town, and you’re still that same character. You’re still that kid that did all that stuff with the stick, and now something new is happening in town, and so even though you’ve really risen to prominence in the Stick of Truth game, they’re all like well you can’t play this with us, you’re nobody again.
South Park The Fractured But Whole is an upcoming RPG in development at Ubisoft and will launch in 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
