Before anything else, do note the game builds always changing so the modding method would change as time passes. However, do not worry; we will be updating our page with different techniques that will be valid to apply the mods.

Now, before you can get to the actual working, make sure you have ‘Opted out of the Beta’ which can be done by going to the Properties of the game in your Library and then heading to the Betas tab. Now open the folder containing the game files.

You can go manually or just choose the ‘Browse Local Files’ option from the Properties. No matter whichever mod you will be using, you need the two essential files named ModtheSpiral.jar and BaseMod.jar.

Put the ModtheSpiral.jar file in the main game’s directory and the mods which you would like to apply along with BaseMod.jar in a new folder in the game’s directory that you can title ‘mods’. Now, and this is really important, open the game always via the ModtheSpiral.jar file which will allow you to select the mods and play with them.

Some mods will allow you to change colors of some of the UI elements, some mods will bring in more drastic changes like introducing a whole new class.

You can find a list of mods and choose which ones you need to play with. Do make sure you keep returning to this link for updated versions of the mods as they will expire and become outdated really quick.

This is so far everything we have in our Slay the Spire Modding Guide. If there is anything else that you would like to add, let us know in the comments section below!
