Sapphire RX 580 2048SP Performs 15% Better Than GTX 1060

Here we have the official benchmarks of the Sapphire RX 580 2048SP and according to the numbers it performs 10% better as compared to the AMD RX 570.

The RX 580 2048SP was rumored a while back and we talked about how it had similar specs when compared to the RX 570. Here we have the official benchmarks of the Sapphire RX 580 2048SP and according to the numbers it performs 10% better as compared to the AMD RX 570.

Other than that the Sapphire RX 580 2048SP is able to beat the Nvidia GTX 1060 3 GB model by up to 15%. That is a major difference keeping in mind that these are mid-range graphics cards and people that fall in this price bracket take price to performance very seriously. You can check out the Sapphire RX 580 2048SP benchmarks below:

These Sapphire RX 580 2048SP can seem to be a misleading due to the starting point. At first glance, it seems that the Sapphire RX 580 2048SP provides double the performance of the GTX 1060 and the RX 570 but that is not the case.

This is not the only news that we have for the gaming market. We saw the RX 590 leak. That is very interesting indeed because Nvidia has just made the GDDR5X GTX 1060 official. This could be an indication that there will be no GTX 2060 this year and that Nvidia is going to try and clear out inventory of the remaining Pascal cards.

I say that because the original GTX 1060 was powered by the GP106 but the new one is a cut-down version of the GTX 1080 based on the GP104 GPU. While the new card has been mentioned on the official Nvidia site we are not able to find this graphics card at retailers, so it has not released yet. It will be interesting to see how well it performs as compared to the standard version.

Let us know what you think about the Sapphire RX 580 2048SP and whether or not you are interested in getting one of these graphics cards.
