A Ryse 2: The Empire Image is Circulating the Web, Sequel or a Hoax?

An interesting rumor is being recently discussed on the web, regarding a possible sequel for the Ryse franchise on Xbox One. A fan of the series, in fact, published on Twitter an image of Ryse 2: The Empire, with the Cryengine logo at the bottom.

We don’t know whether it’s a fake one or not, but it seems it was taken at a conference or something like that.

Crytek hasn’t said anything about this rumor so far, so we suggest you to treat such information as a simple rumor, hoping to hear something concrete about this game as soon as possible.

However, the first Ryse chapter released for Xbox One and PC only and it wasn’t exactly what you’d call a success, both in terms of sales and reception by the players.

People weren’t thrilled much by its features and gameplay, but things have changed since then, and now everyone keeps asking for a sequel.

Phil Spencer discussed this question during a recent interview with Game Informer.

These are his words.

I always chuckle a little bit when people come up to me and say, ‘Hey, I want Ryse 2!’ When the first Ryse chapter was a launch game for Xbox One it ran into some review headwinds. Now people changed their minds and when they think back it’s like, ‘Okay, there’s something there.
