Titanfall 2 just released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC. It is a critically acclaimed title but we are yet to see how much of a commercial success it is. Respawn Entertainment did an excellent job using community feedback to shape Titanfall 2.

The lore is rich and there are stories that can be explored further in future installments. It is too early to actually start talking about what the next game would be like, but it safe to assume that Titanfall 3 is on the cards, according to Respawn Entertainment.
Respawn CEO Vince Zampella stated the following when asked about making another game:
We don’t know yet. The game is, critically, a huge success. We’re really happy with all the reviews and the positive sentiment. Sales, it’s too early to tell. We’d definitely like to tell more of the story and the universe. I think it’s pretty safe to assume that we’ll explore more of it.
Titanfall 2 directly challenged Call of Duty and although it may not be as commercially successful as Activision’s magnum opus, Titanfall as a franchise has dented its rival’s core audience.
The release window for the game allowed Battlefield 1 to success while Titanfall 2 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare fought it out. It was a little unfair to Titanfall but from business point of view, it made sense to release both games so close to each other. EA wanted Infinite Warfare off Battlefield 1 and they successfully achieved what they intended.
Titanfall 2 is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
