Red Dead Redemption 2 Chapter 5 will cover the story of the game where Arthur and his gang have fled to a new unknown island.

Though they are shipwrecked at the start, they are able to regroup with the help of new strangers and locals on the island. Arthur uses the help of the locals to rescue some of his friends.

Finally, Arthur and the gang decides to head back to America, for they are not welcome on this island too. They clear the coast of the island from enemy ships and look for a new ship to flee on.

Realizing that they don’t have a ship captain, Arthur must free the ship captain and hire him for the ship. When they do reach back at the Island, the gang is nowhere to be found yet again.

Arthur must find his gang, and protect them from the Pinkertons’ strike. Afterward, Arthur will do a favor to a madam by rescuing her little child from the Pinkertons.

Welcome to the New World

After escaping on a ship in Chapter 4, you are now shipwrecked. Arthur must walk up the beach, defeat the oncoming enemy’s assault and look for his gang members.

If you fall behind while walking with the chain gang, or fail to get 10 headshots afterward, you will miss the chance to be awarded a Gold Medal. Proceed with caution.

After surviving the shipwreck, Arthur will wake up on the beach. Walk up until you see some smoke to your left. Follow it to reach a campfire.

After a cutscene that explains what happened, two shootouts would take place. You must defeat enemies in both shootouts. The mission will be completed afterward.

Savagery Unleashed (Stranger Mission)

In order to secure safe passage off the island, Arthur has agreed to rescue some local workers as a favor for Hercule and Leon. He must himself become a captive before rescuing other captives.

If you manage to release all the workers within 4 seconds of each other, get eight headshots and finish the whole mission within 5 minutes 40 seconds, you will earn a Gold Medal.

You can find the strangers Hercule and Leon, with the marker of ‘stranger’, south of the river. Talking to him will initiate this mission. You will find yourself tied up upside down. Free yourself, grapple your capture and beat the crap out of him.

Follow Leon through the ruins, while staying behind cover to avoid detection. Eliminate the enemies in the area and take cover, as Fussar’s men will come after you. Kill them and rescue the workers. This will complete the mission.

A Kind and Benevolent Despot

Arthur must rescue Javier with the help of a local in the area. Other gang members like Glora, Arthur and even Dutch himself, will help you in your journey.

Arthur and his friends must infiltrate Fussar’s compound for this very purpose. Caution is required. Meet with Dutch by the waterfall of the river southeast of Aguasdulces. Follow him through the ledges. Afterward, follow Gloria through the caves.

Follow Dutch outside the cave and eliminate the guards in the area. Hide the bodies in the area and proceed forward. Head towards the sugar refinery and repeat the same process.

You must sabotage the sugar refinery after making sure it’s safe enough. Examine the marked areas, including the valve, the sacks of sugar, and the shutters.

Leave the building and follow Dutch until you complete the rescue. You must protect Javier at all times, as you escape. Flee through the sugar fields with Dutch and kill the attackers behind you when needed.

Cross the river and hold off the remaining guards. There will be a lot, so be sure to be efficient with your shots. The mission ends when all the guards have been eliminated.

Hell hath no Fury

Arthur and the gang will meet Hercule in this mission, at the fortress of Cinco Torres. They must then prepare to clear the waters of potential enemies, so they can safely depart for good ol’ America.

You can get a Gold Medal if you manage to prevent at least 4 boats from reaching the shore, destroy the enemy naval ship without missing a single shot, and finish the whole mission with at least 70% accuracy.

The key to attaining this Gold Medal is to land headshots, as much as possible. Regroup with your friends on the ship, and slowly pick off Fussar’s men one by one using your cannon.

Pick up the double-barreled shotgun you’ll be able to find at the bottom of the stairs, in a wooden chest. It is a great weapon.

Once you reach the end of the bridge, the game will ask you to issue orders to your allies to defeat enemy boats. Run down the stairs afterward and eliminate the remaining soldiers.

After meeting up with everyone, follow Hercule and he’ll direct you to man the cannon that can destroy the enemy ship. Take aim… and fire!

Paradise Mercifully Departed

Before Arthur and the gang can leave the island, they must do one final thing. The gang must destroy the enemy guns on the coast of the island in order to make it safe for the ship to land/depart.

Additionally, they must also rescue the ship’s captain so that he can set sail for ‘merica.

If you manage to kill the first two sentries without being detected, escort the captain to the boat within 1 minute 45 seconds, get 25 headshots and complete the whole mission within 6 minutes 45 seconds, you will earn a Gold Medal.

Run up the hill with your friends and eliminate the enemy in a stealthy manner. If you do so, Micah will eliminate the other enemy. Plant the explosives.

Head towards the workers compound and start the battle. Head towards the highlighted house and you will find the captain there. During the Mexican standoff, you will be able to rescue the captain.

More enemies will wait in your path while you’re trying to make your way back to the ship. Avoid main alleys and head towards the ship. Use the cannon to blast the top of the tower and this will end the mission.

Dear Uncle Tacitus

Arthur and his gang are back in America. However, the gang members are hidden in different parts of the world. Arthur decides to head for Shady Belle to try to track down the rest of the gang.

If you manage to leave Shady Belle without being spotted by the Pinkertons and finish the whole mission within 8 minutes, you will earn a Gold Medal.

After the previous mission of rescuing the ship captain, you will regain control of Arthur on a pier at the Van Horn Trading Post in America. You must head towards Shady Belle. Steal a horse or something and continue your journey.

When you enter Shady Belle, head towards the highlighted mansion. You will find a letter inside the mansion, on the living room table.

As soon as the cutscene ends, eliminate all targets and leave through the door. Once outside, head towards Lakay on your new horse-chan.

Fleeting Joy

Arthur is finally reunited with his whole gang at Lakay. However, this joy is not everlasting. Milton apparently arrives on the scene with his Pinkertons and attacks everyone. You must protect your friends.

If you somehow manage to kill two Pinkertons during the Deadeye ambush, get at least 70% accuracy with the Gatling gun, get five headshots with the Gatling Gun, and complete the mission without consuming any health consumables, you will get a Gold Medal.

You must follow Sadie to the other house and take cover as soon as the fighting begins. As soon as you get in cover, a shootout will begin with an automatic Deadeye moment. Kill all enemies you can find in sight while in Deadeye.

After hunting everyone down, man the Gatling gun and kill everyone you can find. Maintain a 70% accuracy if you wish to get the Gold Medal. The mission will complete as soon as you are able to make the enemies flee.

That’s Murfree Country

This is the final mission in this chapter. You can find Dutch at the Lakay camp. Talk to him. After talking with Dutch, find Charles and converse with him. He will offer to ride with him. Charles will ask if you wish to ride with him by canoe.

Choice: Ride the Canoe or Keep your Horse

Choose any of the options and you will reach two Murfrees. Eliminate the enemy there and walk up a short distance. You will be met with another choice here:

Choice: Sneak into the Cave or Flush the Murfrees with Dynamite

If you wish to sneak into the cave, creep behind the enemy sentry at the cave entrance and kill him. Take out the targets inside the caves.

If you wish to be artistic, you can always choose an EXPLOSION! Head towards the cave entrance and throw the explosive at the Sentry. Eliminate everyone on sight.

You will find the girl deep in the cave, locked in the cage. Head to the highlighted area on the map, and you will be able to find the cave. Rescue the girl named Meredith.

Escort Meredith back to Annesburg on your horse. You can then either accept or refuse the monetary reward from her mother. You will not lose any honor if you do accept the money, nor will you gain any if you do not. The mission is now complete
