Red Dead Redemption 2 consists of a number of legendary animals, and The Legendary Fox is one of them. In this guide, you’ll learn the location of the legendary Fox, how to kill it, and what to do with its pelt as you play through RDR2.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Legendary Fox
The Legendary Fox is a pale white creature found at Mattock Pond which is located in the north part of the town of Rhodes, in Scarlett Meadows, Lemoyne. You can check the map and see the Fox with a Crown above it to find its location.
Once you reach your destination, simply press the right and left analog stick to activate your Eagle Eye. This enables Arthur to indicate the traces left by the animals. Use this to hunt for clues about the RDR2 Legendary Fox.
Prior to leaving your horse, just keep in mind that in order to kill the legendary Fox you’ll need a weapon that deals maximum amount of damage. You can use a Bow or a gun such as a rifle, shotgun to kill it. The most recommended weapon is a rifle as it is impressive at long range.
The initial trace you’ll find would be a pile of fox dung. Press both of your analog sticks in to activate Eagles Eye mode and you’ll see some yellowish gaseous particle in the small valley just before the woods.
Be careful and don’t make any noise, as this fox is afraid of shots, steps and it can even detect Arthur just by smelling him. It will suddenly attack you out of nowhere and then run away.
Therefore, maintain distance from the fox and kill it by using a rifle (The most recommended weapon). Now when you’ve killed the Fox, skin the creature and load it up at the back of your horse and head to the closest Trapper (in Saint Denis) to make clothing out of its pelt.
When you’ve reached the Trapper, you’ll sell the pelt for 22 Dollars and the Trapper will make some Legendary items from it.
You’ll unlock Legendary Fox Moccasins, legendary fox pelt and 40 dollars are required, and a Legendary Buck & Fox Range Gloves (fox pelt and 28 dollars are required)
