ReCore’s Lead Writer is Halo, Destiny Famed Joseph Staten!

Halo and Destiny famed Joseph Staten is not just working on ReCore but he is the lead writer for the game! This is simply beyond hype!

Back in September this year, it was confirmed that writer Joseph Staten is working on a number of Xbox One titles. However, we were not sure how much of a role he was playing in the story of ReCore.

Now, it has been revealed that he is not just lending a helping hand with the Xbox One exclusive title but actually leading the story writing. Although it has not come from the official sources, but a story on New York Times has revealed that he is actually the lead writer for the game being developed by Comcept and Armature Studio.

While talking about the female hero of the game and the conventionally male-dominated character line-ups of most of the games, Staten shared some details. While referring to him, NYT called him “the game’s lead writer, Joseph Staten.” That being said, Staten thinks that the female protagonist of ReCore, Joule, is challenging the male dominated list of heroes:

The male gender does not have the monopoly on heroism. Joule is emblematic of this conviction, and we hope she’s a character who stands strong and stands out in a market filled with male heroes.

For those who do not know, Joseph Staten is the same guy who served as the lead writer for Bungie’s Destiny. He is also the author of Halo: Contact Harvest, the fifth novelization in the series for which he has also been working on the games.

Staten has been working as the senior creative director for Microsoft Studios since January 2014.

ReCore has already managed to gain a lot of attention among the community thanks to the rather new take on experience that will be provided by the robotic animals; however, we think that the confirmation of Joseph Staten as the lead writer is going to add more to the hype. What do you think?
