Rage 2 and Doom Eternal are big games in works by id Software and being published by Bethesda. id Software is aware of all the trends and knows what the players want. But they have now confirmed that they will not bring Battle Royale mode to any of their upcoming games. It’s not in their wish list.
In a recent interview, Tim Willits of id Software talked in detail about innovations, trends and what the players should expect from their games.
Our four big franchises (editor’s note: Quake, Doom, Wolfenstein and Rage) are doing well. While trying new things, we’re not trying to drastically change the core of these games.
He was then asked about the trends he doesn’t want to follow and yes it’s the Battle Royale.
“… Battle Royale … me personally … now at this time. Even though we had Rocket Arena, a single elimination battle arena game, a long time ago. “
Now, this statement does confirm that we will not get any battle Royale mode in Rage 2 or Doom Eternal anytime soon. Instead, the team is focusing on bringing us more detailed content, weapons, and more demons along with new interesting ways to kill them.
“When we change a game, we focus on features that change the game innovatively. But innovation is something that is new and different and you have never done or seen before. “
We are really excited to play Rage 2 and Doom Eternal when they finally launch sometime in 2019. As for Doom Eternal. It’s filled with more demons than ever before. id Software has guaranteed us that it will be filled with action. Doom Eternal will bring us many impressive bosses. But don’t take them easy at all because they are not easy to defeat.
There are going to be more brutal weapons available in the game to help you out so be prepared for a hell of fun.

Rage 2 will launch in 2019 and Doom Eternal doesn’t have a release date yet. Both games will release on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
