Pokemon Sword and Shield Tyrogue Locations

Tyrogue is found in both Overworld and Non-Overworld spawns. Overworld spawns mean that the Pokemon is visible in-game. We have listed the different locations where different level Tyrogue can be found in Overworld and its spawn rate depending upon the weather conditions:

Tyrogue can also be found in non-overworld spawns meaning that it is not visible and can be spotted randomly in tall grass. These are the locations:

How to Catch Tyrogue
To catch Tyrogue, head to any of the above locations. If you spot them, they can easily be caught. If one does not appear, players can simply run into all of the Pokémon in an area and then “Run” away from the encounter to reset the spawning of new Pokémon to catch.

Tyrogue Evolutions
Tyrogue has one evolution and this evolution has 3 types, each type having a different requirement. We have listed the requirements below:

  • For Tyrogue to evolve to Hitmonlee, it should be Level 20 and Attack ability should be greater than defense.
  • For Tyrogue to evolve to Hitmontop, it should be Level 20 and Attack ability should be equal to defense.
  • For Tyrogue to evolve to Hitmonchan, it should be Level 20 and Attack ability should be less than defense.

Tyrogue Strengths and Weaknesses
Tyrogue is a fighting type Pokemon, which means he is weaker when fighting flying, psychic and fairy type pokemon. But he will be stronger against rock, bug and dark pokemon.

Tyrogue will be weaker against the following pokemon:

  • Togekiss a Fairy and Flying type pokemon.
  • Gyarados a Water and Flying type pokemon.
  • Noivern a Flying and Dragon type pokemon.
  • Charizard a Fire and Flying type pokemon.
  • Espeon a Psychic type pokemon.

Tyrogue will be stronger against the following pokemon:

  • Tyranitar a Rock and Dark type pokemon.
  • Hydreigon a Dark and Dragon type pokemon.
  • Rhyperior a Ground and Rock type pokemon.
  • Golisopod a Bug and Water type pokemon.
  • Umbreon a Dark type pokemon.
