PlayStation Classic “Should Be Able To Sell Millions” Without Hurting PS4 Sales

The PlayStation Classic Mini Console is being backed by Industry Analysts to sell millions without hurting the PS4 sales.

Sony is coming up with a classic edition console for their fans. Launching PlayStation Classic is a wise approach as the NES Classic was a huge success too. Analysts now also seem to be backing Sony’s mini console to be a total hit.

PlayStation Classic has the exact design as the original console’s layout only with a 45% smaller size. The mini console will be having pre-installed games and HDMI support. Such features along with the nostalgic association have the fans on the edge of their seats.

Michael Pachter acknowledged the fact that PlayStation Classic will shine once its out. The Industry Analyst assured that Sony has dug a gold-mine out of PlayStation Classic. Pachter expressed his views on how he sees the mini console to fair after Sony launches it:

“There has been a lot of support for the Nintendo classic hardware, so I presume Sony will see similar success. They should be able to sell “millions” (1 – 2 million) without any problem if they choose to make that many. It’s priced right, and the game lineup is pretty good for that price. I wouldn’t be surprised if they sell 2 – 3 million this holiday and a similar number per year so long as they choose to keep manufacturing.”

From what Pachter argues, setback on mass production is the only thing stopping the mini console from being a success. Michael further established that PlayStation Classic is not a threat to the sales of PS4 at all. He said:

“The target buyer of a PS Classic already owns a PS4.”

PlayStation Classic has the exact design as the original console’s layout only with a 45% smaller size.

The mini console will be having pre-installed games and HDMI support. Although it won’t be having online play as a feature.

Classic edition console seems as a fascinated product which fans love to own. Not a while back we saw NES Classic become June’s best selling console. Sony is looking to make a lot of business with PlayStation Classic. Then pre-orders have already started for the console’s launch in December.
