Official Overwatch Website Suggests Console Version is Coming

A description in the official website of Overwatch suggests that it is a PC and console game, unlike what the developers revealed.

So far, Blizzard Entertainment has promoted Overwatch as a PC only title, but that doesn’t mean they have nothing else planned for the game.

Eagle eyed fans of the game dug into the source code of their official EU website and found what could be a gem for the console users. One small description they found included a reference to consoles while talking about the game, here it is:

Overwatch is Blizzard’s team-shooter for PC and consoles. Choose your hero from a huge roster of soldiers, scientists, adventurers, and oddities, each with their own unique set of abilities. Bend time, defy physics, and unleash a dizzying array of extraordinary powers in concert with your allies. Lead your team to victory in iconic locations across a near-future Earth. The world needs heroes!

As soon as the news hit the internet, Blizzard changed that description and now it simply reads “learn more about Overwatch’s heroic gameplay.”

However, it is expected that the text above must have been there for the future. If you go down the memory lane you would remember that Diablo 3 was also originally released on PC, the console version came later.

It could be that Blizzard plans to follow the same line when it comes to Overwatch. However, keep checking back since this is not official yet.
