Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti Benchmarks: Cant Beat AMD Vega 56 In 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme And Time Spy

With the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti getting close to launch with each passing day the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti benchmarks are starting to roll in. Find out more here.

With the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti getting close to launch with each passing day the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti benchmarks are starting to roll in and even though these are initial benchmarks, things don’t look too good for the Green team. According to the numbers, the AMD Vega 56 has the lead.

Both the AMD Vega 56 and the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti have been put to the test in 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme and Time Spy and it seems that the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti cannot keep up. Do keep in mind that the AMD Vega 56 has been out for a while now and AMD has been able to make optimizations to the graphics drivers.

The Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti, on the other hand, has not been released yet and I am pretty sure that there is still room for a bump in performance with better drivers and some optimization.

Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti Benchmarks

You can check out the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti benchmarks below:

These are leaks so do take these numbers with a grain of salt. In the upcoming days, we will be able to learn more about the upcoming Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti and whether or not these Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti benchmarks are close to the actual performance of the graphics card. Only time will tell.

The Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti will have performance close to the Nvidia GTX 1080 but will have slower memory. While the Nvidia GTX 1080 has the GDDR5X memory the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti will feature GDDR5 memory. That might not be a deal breaker considering the Nvidia GTX 1070 also has the same type of memory and it performs pretty well.

Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti Specifications

According to Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti benchmarks for Ashes of the Singularity, the GPU is not much slower than the GTX 1080 and considering that it cost $100 cheaper, it is great value for money. Having that said, the performance will differ from game to game. The graphics card will be announced before the end of the month but you might not be able to get one at launch.

There have also been rumors that the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti will be locked at launch and that users will not be able to overclock the reference design models. Other rumors claim, the custom AIB Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti cards will not be locked and users will be able to overclock them. There is still some confusion regarding the matter but luckily all this will be cleared out before the end of the month.
