There will be no spoilers of any kind, at least not before Avengers: Infinity War has released in theaters later this month.

Speaking with Good Morning America in an interview (via CBR) following a fan-screening event this weekend, members from the main cast revealed that none of them have watched the movie yet. This includes Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) amd Tom Holland (Spider-Man) and possibly the remaining cast as well.

“It was pretty hyped, it was wonderful and it was the same for us, because we hadn’t seen the footage until last night,” Cumberbatch said. “We came out as fired up as the fans.”

“None of us have seen the film and we’ll be seeing it at the same time as you guys see it on April 27, because there’s so much about the film that’s being kept under wraps [and] being kept secret,” Hiddleston added.

That being said, Cumberbatch was the only sole member from the cast to be given access to the complete script. This was out of necessity because the actor wanted to understand his character better in regards to the storyline.

“I had to understand what the context was,” Cumberbatch explained. “Strange has this wonderful role in it, and I’m trying to hold the multiverse together, so I kind of needed to know what goes on in between those brackets.”

There were multiple scripts produced for Avengers: Infinity War, containing several fake scenes that were filmed as well. This left the cast completely oblivious about how the movie would run through. In some cases, they were not even told what exactly they were filming, being assured that the special effects team would handle the rest.

Avengers: Infinity War will open in theaters worldwide on April 27, 2018, and in China on May 11, 2018. It will be the first of a two-part series. The untitled sequel, presently dubbed Avengers 4, is slated to premiere on May 3, 2019.
