Fans of the God War franchise were excited when God Of War was revealed during Sony’s E3 press conference. Shortly after speculations started about God Of War’s characters and feature. One particular feature fans were speculating was the inclusion of multiplayer, however, it seems that there will be no multiplayer in God Of War.
According to God Of War game director, Cory Barlog, a spectacular single-player campaign has always been the core of God Of War games. He further said that God Of War Ascension was the first time that the studio experimented with multiplayer in a God Of War game. But neither the fans nor the critics were satisfied with the multiplayer in Ascension.
However, Barlog is not being direct about it, but it is clear from his statement that there will be no multiplayer in God Of War and their focus is just the single-player campaign of the game.
Also new screenshots have been released for the upcoming God Of War, some of the screen shots are from the gameplay demo Sony showcased at E3. However, a few them contain the detailed models of Kratos and his son. You can check them out below.
While the first three God Of War games were set in Greek mythology, this time around the game takes inspiration for Norse mythology. However, the developers were initially considering to set God Of War in Egypt.
Considering that Norse mythology has Gods like Thor, Odin, Loki, Freya, so likely that Norse mythology wad more agreeable for the devs, due to how God Of War normally goes. If Kratos has his way like he did in the previous games where he killed all the Gods, he might be the reason behind Ragnarok.
God of War is an PlayStation 4 exclusive developed by Santa Monica Studio, no release date for the game has been announced yet.
