Koei Tecmo has finalized the plans for the open beta of Nioh 2 next November. Taking advantage of the information, the publisher has also explained a curious detail about the test. Of the 3,500 users who were able to test the game at the Tokyo Game Show 2019, only 175 users managed to finish it. That is 5% of the total.
Nioh 2, which will be released exclusively for PS4 in 2020, promises to be a challenge worthy of Team Ninja. It will be difficult and demanding for lovers of the most challenging video games on the market. This game will definitely be a hard nut to crack.
Fortunately, little by little we have learned more about the game and, as mentioned above, there are even some lucky ones who have already been able to play it. If you were not one of them and you want to know how this delivery looks, you’ll be glad to know that a new trailer was released. I must say, Nioh 2 looks amazing and brutal.
The video that was released shows us several action scenes that reveal some of the creatures that our character will face in this installment. As you will see, it presents several beings inspired by Japanese folklore, as well as some that are huge monsters. What everyone has in common is that they won’t have mercy when it comes to fighting you.
That said, the most interesting thing about the trailer is that it gives Nioh 2 a launch window of early 2020. So, there are only a few months left before we can have it in our hands.
We are all thinking about the promising Nioh 2 that will launch in 2020; however, that is not an obstacle for the original Nioh to continue enjoying good sales numbers. This has recently been announced by analyst Daniel Ahmad.
Nioh has now shipped 2.75 million units, up from 2.5 million units in February 2019. Nioh 2 is set to release in Early 2020.
While the figure is not entirely surprising, the players were satisfied with this new IP. Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja thanked the players for making this possible and confirmed that they are working very hard on Nioh 2.
If you are interested in testing Nioh 2 before its launch, all you have to do is wait for the open Beta to start and download it to your PlayStation 4. We will see if this trial period will have preload so that you can start Play from the first moment it is available.
At the moment, Koei Tecmo has not disclosed more details about this trial period. Thus, we do not know what content we will find in it or if there will be any kind of reward for participating. We will keep an eye on you and inform you when we know more.
