There are two pieces of Horizon: Zero Dawn Equipment in MHW. The first is Aloy’s signature Armor & Bow and the second one is Palico Armor. However, one important thing that you need to know about this collaboration is that it is for a limited time. You can acquire Palico as of now. The said event is currently available and will expire on Feb. 08, 2018; therefore, you have a limited time to grab it.
As of acquiring Aloy’s Armor and Bow, an event for that will kick off starting Feb. 28, 2018. Now the question is, how do you acquire these limited-time pieces of equipment?! Our Monster Hunter World Guide holds all the answers.
How to Acquire Horizon: Zero Dawn Equipment
The first thing that you need to do is to accept ‘Lessons of the Wild’ event. To do so, you need to be at least at Hunter Level 6. The ‘Lessons of the Wild’ event essentially requires you to eliminate a total of 8 Barnos in under 50 minutes. While this may appear difficult on paper, it really is not; especially if you follow our Monsters Guide in which we have detailed everything you need to know about slaying both Large Monsters and Small Monsters.
In order to complete the event, you need to head over to the designated Arena where you will be asked to slay 8 Barnos – as mentioned earlier. During the course of the battle, Barnos will be accompanied by Tzitzi-Ya-Ku. What we recommend for the fight is to bait out Tzitzi-Ya-Ku’s stun towards Barnos.
By baiting the attacks, you should be able to easily take down Barnos and acquire Watcher Lens. What you essentially need to do is to farm this event for as many Watcher Lens as possible, as they help you craft the Palico Armor.
Once you have sufficient Watcher Lens, you should be able to craft the Palico Armor. Therefore, head over to the Smithy and select the Forge Palico Equipment. In order to craft the complete set, you need x2 Watcher Lens + x3 Dragonite Ore which will allow you to acquire Watcher Head and Watcher Body.
