Report: Legend OF Zelda Breath Of The Wild Canceled For Wii U

A new rumor has made its way to the internet that suggests Legend OF Zelda Breath Of The Wild has been cancelled for Wii U.

There are a lot of rumors making rounds on the internet about Nintendo Switch and the games that are announced for the console. Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild is also confirmed for the upcoming console along with Wii U and now a new rumor has emerged that suggests the game has been canceled for Wii U.

The rumor comes from a Japanese blog, Goo.ne, which claims that due to difficulties in the development for the older system the development team has decided to cancel the Wii U version of the game. Also, digital stores such as Amazon has removed the Wii U version from the store and there has been massive cancellation of pre-orders.

Given that Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild is a massive game and Wii U is relatively old hardware and the team might have faced some difficulties to develop such a big game for an outdated system.

Recently, Nintendo revealed the functionality for the 30th anniversary Zelda Amiibo in the game. According to Nintendo, each amiibo will drop a particular item and these amiibos also have a chance to drop a treasure chest too.

The 8-bit amiibo will drop barrels which may contain rupees, the Ocarina of Time Link will drop meat for the players to heal, The Wind Waker Link will drop fish and The Wind Waker Zelda will drop plants.

Also, Nintendo has quite some expectations from the game. During a recent investor’s call for the company, Nintendo revealed that Breath of the Wild sales will need to be around two million copies just to break even.

Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild is an open-world action adventure game in development at Nintendo and will launch sometime in 2017 for Nintendo Switch.
