If you are a soccer fan, there are only two games for you that have been in the industry for a long time which includes FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer. Though Pro Evolution Soccer was on top for several years until FIFA came with better licenses and took the lead, which looks to change this time.
This is the best news for PES fans and PES 2019 as it looks like after a long wait, Konami will finally make a deal with Spanish giants which is none other than the Real Madrid. In case you don’t know, Real Madrid has not been a part of Pro Evolution Soccer titles. Real Madrid was called MD White in PES which is common as the title has been struggling with licenses lately.
This news was revealed by PES brand director, Jonas Lygaard on Twitter.
EA Sports have been really good at acquiring licenses and three years ago they announced the partnership with Real Madrid in a 3-year contract which is going to end in summer of this year. So it looks like Real Madrid is going to sign new deals with Konami and EA Sports to feature in PES 2019 and FIFA 19.
It’ll play a huge role for PES as Konami has lost some big names in the past. Recently it was officially revealed by Konami on their site where they stated that the German club Borussia Dortmund has terminated its licensing agreement with the company a year ahead of the schedule.
Despite the loss, Konami went on to ensure PES fans by guaranteeing that the PES series will continue to work and provide new ways for everyone to enjoy soccer by having new deals, partnerships with various football clubs and leagues. Real Madrid could be the start of these new partnerships, we are all so excited.
PES 2019 is scheduled to release on August 28, 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
