Insider: The Witcher Netflix Series Renewed For 3 Seasons

The Witcher Netflix series is renewed for 3 seasons, according to an insider report.

While not everyone is as excited about The Witcher Netflix series as they should have been, creators seem to have faith in it. According to an insider report, Henry Cavill starter The Witcher TV series is renewed for 3 seasons.

Netflix nor Henry Cavill has confirmed the news.

The show based on The Witcher series of books by Andrzej Sapkowski features iconic characters such as Geralt played by Henry Cavill, Yennefer played by Anya Chalotra.

The author is partnering with Netflix to create a show separate from the CD Project RED video games.

The creation of the show, lack of CDPR involvement, and the strained relationship between CDPR and Sapkowski is a strong indication that the studio has moved on from the series.

Fans hoping to see The Witcher 4 will certainly be disappointed at the notion that CDPR won’t be working on another game.

But at least we have The Witcher Netflix series.

The series is starting sometime this year. The writer of The Witcher books is heavily involved with the development of the show. It looks like he scored a much better deal this time around.

Netflix reportedly plans to share more details about the show at Comic-Con on July 19.

Turning video games into TV shows seems to be becoming a trend. Netflix has also announced a Cuphead comedy series.

The character-driven comedy follows the unique misadventures of the impulsive Cuphead and his cautious but easily swayed brother Mugman. Through their many misadventures across their surreal home of the Inkwell Isles, they’ve always got one another’s backs.

Netflix has Resident Evil series in development as well.

More information about the Cuphead Netflix series is coming soon.
