As the launch of Ghost Recon Wildlands in getting closer Ubisoft has been revealing new details for their upcoming game. Now the devs have shared more details about Ghost Recon Wildlands regarding the game’s writers.

Ubisoft revealed through their official blog that they have partnered with bestselling authors Don Winslow and Shane Salerno to create the narrative of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands. Both of the writers have experience writing stories about drug cartels and worked closely with the writers at Ubisoft Paris to create a realistic and grounded storyline for the title. According to Don Winslow:
I’ve written about drug cartels for more than twenty years and together with my writing partner Shane Salerno have brought that knowledge to the story, scenes, characters and dialogue found in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands.
Shane Salerno added that he has been a Tom Clancy fan ever since he read The Hunt For Red October.

Not only Ghost Recon Wildlands is the first open-world game in the franchise, but it will also feature the biggest open-world Ubisoft has ever created. According to Tom Isaksen, Senior Character Artist, Bolivia will be an authentic reconstruction of the country with 11 different ecosystems.
Ghost Recon Wildlands in an open-world action stealth video game in development at Ubisoft and is scheduled to launch on March 7, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
