If you are looking for dishing out raw damage, soldier class is not the one you are looking for! The heavy class can easily dispose of more damage than the soldier class, the latter is an excellent all-rounder. Getting in and out of fights, swift reloads, and dealing a decent amount of damage is what makes the soldier class a great overall class in Horde 3.0.

When gain access to grenades, the soldier class can easily annihilate anyone in its path; thanks to its skillset. With this class, you should not only be able to protect your flanks and fortifications using Grenade Plants, but also keep enemies at bay.

Soldier Class Skills

Active Reload Boost – Additional 20 Percent Reload Bonus
This basically allows you to gain percentage Perfect Active Reload bonus on all weapons depending upon the level of this skill. With this skill, you can turn your bad habit of reloading often into something fruitful – provided you have good reload timings.

  • Level 1 – 20 Percent
  • Level 2 – 40 Percent
  • Level 3 – 60 Percent
  • Level 4 – 80 Percent
  • Level 5 – 100 Percent

Assault Rifle Capacity – Additional 40 Percent Ammo
This skill basically increases total ammo of any assault rifle depending upon the level of this skill. Since the soldier class does not dish out a whole lot of damage, carrying additional ammo is always welcome.

  • Level 1 – 40 Percent
  • Level 2 – 55 Percent
  • Level 3 – 70 Percent
  • Level 4 – 85 Percent
  • Level 5 – 100 Percent

Assault Rifle Damage – Additional 10 Percent Damage
This skill allows you to increase the overall damage output of any assault rifle at your disposal depending upon the level of this skill. It is generally a good idea to combine this skill with Assault Rifle Capacity to create a deadly combo.

  • Level 1 – 10 Percent
  • Level 2 – 20 Percent
  • Level 3 – 30 Percent
  • Level 4 – 40 Percent
  • Level 5 – 50 Percent

Assault Rifle Magazine – Additional 40 Percent Magazine Size
This skill increases the total amount of ammo in magazine of any assault rifle depending upon the level of this skill. While mediocre at best, you can go with this skill if your team composition demands you to lay down suppression fire.

  • Level 1 – 40 Percent
  • Level 2 – 55 Percent
  • Level 3 – 70 Percent
  • Level 4 – 85 Percent
  • Level 5 – 100 Percent

Cover Boost – Additional 15 Percent Damage Reduction
This skill decreases the damage you receive while in cover depending upon the level of this skill. It is important to remember that it does not decrease your damage while you are out in the open. Therefore, it is crucial that move from cover to cover in order to greatly benefit from this.

  • Level 1 – 15 Percent
  • Level 2 – 25 Percent
  • Level 3 – 35 Percent
  • Level 4 – 45 Percent
  • Level 5 – 55 Percent

Grenade Capacity – Additional Grenades
Depending upon the skill level, you get additional Frag, Incendiary, and Shock Grenades in your arsenal from enemy drops and Air Drops. These things can easily turn the tides of battle and help you slow enemy progress.

  • Level 1 – 1 Additional Grenade
  • Level 2 – 2 Additional Grenades
  • Level 3 – 3 Additional Grenades
  • Level 4 – 4 Additional Grenades
  • Level 5 – 5 Additional Grenades

Grenade Damage – Additional 20 Percent Grenade Damage
This skill basically allows you to increase grenade damage and explosion radius depending upon the level of the skill. If you are purely running the grenadier build, you definitely need to go with this and Grenade Capacity.

Once you have done so, you should be able to eliminate a group of enemies without any issues.

  • Level 1 – 20 Percent
  • Level 2 – 40 Percent
  • Level 3 – 60 Percent
  • Level 4 – 80 Percent
  • Level 5 – 100 Percent

Grenade Plants – Plant Additional Grenades
Depending upon the level of this skill, it allows you to plant additional grenades. This thing comes in huge at later waves when you have to protect you flanks and fortifications to prevent repair cost and revives.

  • Level 1 – Upto 2
  • Level 2 – Upto 3
  • Level 3 – Upto 4
  • Level 4 – Upto 5
  • Level 5 – Upto 6

Recommended Build

While it varies from player to player and what type of Team Comp. you are running, but we find Active Reload Boost, Assault Rifle Magazine, Grenade Damage, Grenade Plants, and Hammer of Dawn Strike to be really good overall.

With this, you should not only be able to lay down suppress fire for your team, but also deal a significant amount of damage using ARB. Moreover, ¬ you should greatly benefit from Grenade Plants and extra kills coming in from those grenades.
