Since the beginning of 2018 many rumors have made their way on the internet, recently a leak suggested that Forza Horizon 4 is in development that will feature Japan as a new setting for the series and will launch in 2018. Now, another leak has suggested that Forza Horizon 4 release date will be sometime in 2018.
The leak comes from Brazilian Classification Board who listed Forza Horizon 4 along which they also revealed that Forza Horizon 4 release date will be sometime in 2018. The listing has since been taken down by Brazilian Classification Board but, a Resetera user managed to take a screenshot of it which you can see below.
In related news, Forza Horizon 3 will be getting Xbox One X patch on January 15. We still don’t know what improvements the game will be getting on Xbox One X but given that Forza Motorsport 7 runs at 4K/60 FPS, we are positive that Forza Horizon 3 will also be able to run at 4K/60 FPS.
While Forza Horizon 4 is just a rumor, developer of the Forza Horizon franchise, Playground Games, is also working on a non-racing title. The studio is working on a game codenamed “Project 2”.
According to founder and creative director, Ralph Fulton, the team has become quite good at developing racing games but they want to prove themselves in a different genre.
We feel like we’ve become pretty good at racing games over the years. We can always strive to get better but we’d love to prove ourselves in a different genre. That’s another goal of Project 2, to allow us to do that. We’re going to need to hire some very talented people with experience that we don’t have.
Are you looking forward to Forza Horizon 4? Will Japan prove to be a good setting for the franchise? Let us know in the comments.
