Fortnite Battle Royale is coming to iOS soon while support for Android will come in the next few months. The developer is looking at the future of games and the future to it, is the same game across all platforms with shared experiences.

In an extensive blog post, Epic Games announced the arrival of Fortnite Battle Royale on mobile and confirmed that on mobile it is going to be the same game as it is on other platforms. The same 100 player experience, the same features, and everything.

The most interesting part is that the game will feature crossplay and cross progression, as confirmed by Epic Games.

Fortnite Battle Royale is coming to mobile devices! On phones and tablets, Fortnite is the same 100-player game you know from PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac. Same gameplay, same map, same content, same weekly updates. Starting Monday, you can sign-up for the Invite Event on iOS. Support for Android will be coming in the next few months.

In partnership with our friends at Sony, Fortnite Battle Royale will support Cross Play and Cross Progression between PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, iOS and eventually Android. This means players across devices can squad up with friends and play together.

We believe this is the future of games. The same game on all platforms. Console quality graphics and action. Play when you want, where you want.

You can pick up Fortnite for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. There is also Mac edition available and the Battle Royale mode is free across all platforms.
