Fallout 76 Beta Players Will Be Randomly Selected From Pre-Order Owners

The Fallout 76 Beta players that will be getting into the beta first will be randomly selected to be in the beta at certain intervals.

Fallout 76 beta players will apparently be even more exclusive than we thought. While previously it was announced the beta would only be available to pre-order owners, it’s now been revealed that even these players will be randomly selected from the current pre-order owners to make the beta even more exclusive.

The Fallout 76 beta will be coming out in October the month before the game comes out, and will mainly be a server test to help Bethesda see how the game’s servers would react to a sizable number of people at once. Bethesda has said that they will start small about the beta but will increase in size over the following weeks, so we’ll likely get more people in the betas the more betas are held.

Fallout 76 takes place 25 years after the nuclear war that destroyed the world, as the inhabitants of Fallout 76 open their Vault and head out into the Wasteland to reclaim it and begin rebuilding civilization. Players will be able to team up with their friends, form factions, build structures, and even find nuclear missile silos to fire nukes from.

Fallout 76 is one of Bethesda’s most ambitious projects, putting a highly popular franchise like Fallout into the world of multiplayer survival games. While Elder Scrolls Online is an MMO and thus that amount of traffic is expected, that doesn’t mean that Fallout 76 is developed with that many players in mind, not to mention that player traffic is often one of the earliest hurdles for games that are heavily multiplayer-focused.

Either way, though the order will differ on when Fallout 76 beta players will get into the game, everyone that pre-orders Fallout 76 from a participating retailer will eventually get into the game’s beta, so if you pre-order the game you’ll be able to be part of those Fallout 76 beta players that are selected to play the game.

Fallout 76 will be coming out on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC on November 14.
