eFootball PES 2020 Achieves Outstanding Sales In Japan

One more week has passed, and that means we bring you one more chapter of the battle to dominate the Japanese market. According to Famitsu reports, eFootball PES 2020 gave the big surprise, the new installment of the sports franchise, as it defeated several opponents who also debuted with good sales in the week from September 9 to 15.

Although the first place remained unchanged, except for the number of copies sold, the list had a lot of movement thanks to the many recent global releases, among which the Borderlands 3, Daemon X Machina and eFootball PES 2020 stood out.

eFootball PES 2020, developed and distributed by Konami had a formidable launch, since it managed to exceed the sales of the exclusive Nintendo Switch game Daemon X Machina and the cross-platform title Borderlands 3.

It is important to mention that the 3 games debuted on the same day. On the other hand, it also surprises the performance of Borderlands 3 because its western development managed to appeal to the Japanese public.

The Capcom hunting title, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is now in the second week where the game is leading the sales list as a PlayStation 4 game, something that was not seen in Japanese territories for a long time and not only that, since thanks to the launches last week that only reached PlayStation 4 in that country, 4 titles of the Sony console were placed on the list, while the other places remained in possession of some Nintendo Switch deliveries.

As for consoles, the positions remained motionless, but something that is important to note is that the Xbox One X almost doubled its sales in relation to the previous week. Last week Microsoft’s game platform sold 36 units and this time the figure is surprisingly raised to 62 distributed consoles.

eFootball PES 2020 is the new installment of the Konami football video game saga. With a firm commitment to eSports, and with greater realism in the environments, control of the ball and player movements, the 2020 delivery has also decided to bet on the Master League thanks to the integration of real data.

The Japanese company explains that for eFootball PES 2020, the recreation of the stadiums, as well as the graphics, has been improved with a more detailed lighting and movement system.

The duel between FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer in the video game industry is something that has became throughout the years quite an interesting topic.

eFootball PES 2020 has an exclusive license for the UEFA Euro 2020, the continental selection competition that will be held next summer and where the new European champion will rise the trophy.

This exclusive license allows you to play games with the official 24 teams that will play in the tournament plus another 30 national teams. We can also see in eFootball PES 2020 the presence of all the stadiums that will be used during the European Championship.
