The Division Sales Break Ubisoft Records, Best Selling Game in 30 Years

The Division sales have broken Ubisoft records of the past 30 years. It is the best selling Ubisoft game in the first 24 hours.

How long it has been since the release of Ubisoft’s The Division? Little over 24 hours. In such a short time, The Division sales have gone past any Ubisoft game ever made, in terms of its first 24 hours performance. The Division is the best selling Ubisoft game (within the first 24 hours) in 30 years.

The Division sold well on retail and from digital platforms.

The launch of The Division is a tremendous achievement for Ubisoft, and demonstrates our unrivaled capacity to create fantastic new game brands and transform them into entertainment blockbusters,” said Yves Guillemot, co-founder and CEO, Ubisoft

Guillemot added:

This is a momentous day for Ubisoft, but more importantly it marks the start of millions of players’ enduring engagement in The Division’s game world, which we are confident they will love

It gets to show that if you release a quality product, players will support you. We can only assume how impressive its sales would be in the coming months.

The Division is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Ubisoft did mention how well it sold, but sales stats should start to appear by the end of the week.

The Division as a game is great, however, there are still reports of server problems across the board; even though Ubisoft said it dealt with server issues.

If you still haven’t purchased the game, it is best to wait for a day or two in order to avoid these initial The Division server problems.
