Hideo Kojima is visiting a Parasitological Museum with his team to research for Death Stranding, apparently. According to Hideo Kojima, visiting the Parasitological Museum reminded him of the time he researched for The Phantom Pain.
Parasites appeared in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Skull Face used the vocal cord parasites to spread terror and exterminate the English language.

I intentionally chosen Udon noodles for lunch that was prior to visit but I wouldn’t imagine what would have happened if we went after. pic.twitter.com/RLSFez9FPL— HIDEO_KOJIMA (@HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN) October 2, 2016
It is hard to say how parasites will play a role in Death Stranding but Hideo Kojima certainly seems infatuated with these creatures.
Death Stranding deals with topics such as death, grief, and science fiction. But where do parasites fit into all of this? What role are they playing? We will have the answers in the coming months, hopefully, at PlayStation Experience.
Death Stranding is in development for PlayStation 4 thanks to a partnership between Kojima Productions and Sony Interactive Entertainment.
The game does not have a release date for the time being, however, it should be out by 2018. Recently, Hideo Kojima made a comment suggesting a 2018 release window.
Kojima spoke at TGS and announced that Death Stranding will be out before 2020. He mentioned that it will be out before the year Akira is set in. Akira is a film that is set in 2019 so by that reasoning, Death Stranding should be released in 2018.
During the same event, Hideo Kojima also spoke about Konami’s Metal Gear Survive. He shot down all rumors of Survive being his idea. Kojima explained that Metal Gear Solid is about Political fiction and espionage, zombies do not fit.
