Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date, Reveal, Gameplay, Teaser, Graphics, And Features It Should Have

Cyberpunk 2077 release date and reveal is expected this year. Every detail we already have painted a very nice picture of Cyberpunk.

Cyberpunk 2077 is in development at CD Project Red, the creator of The Witcher series. There hasn’t been much news about the game for over 3 years but finally, it looks like there are signs of life. The following article will discuss the latest we have on Cyberpunk 2077, its release date, possible reveal, gameplay details, and features we want to see.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been in development for a long time and there are many theories and speculations surrounding the game. Some even think that Geralt and Ciri are going to be in the game. But that is unlikely to happen as The Witcher universe is over following Wild Hunt.

Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date And Reveal

Cyberpunk 2077 release date is not yet announced but we expect the game to be out by 2019. Sadly, the pre-production up until 2016 was thrown out the door, otherwise, we may have seen the game this year. Last year, developers confirmed that there won’t be any news about Cyberpunk 2077 in 2017.

Internal issues and politics placed a dark cloud over the game’s development. However, CD Project RED is making sure its new game delivers the best experience possible in terms of gameplay, graphics, and story. For this, the development process will take time which is why we expect Cyberpunk 2077 to release in 2019. But as far as the reveal go, it will happen sooner than expected, something we will discuss further in the article.

But the good news is that there is a chance of a release date announcement this year. As the developer’s official Twitter account has shown signs of life. The Twitter account Tweeted after over 3 years, hinting that something could happen soon.

The dead Twitter account coming back to life sparked hundreds of retweets, and speculation all over the internet. As mentioned above, CD Project Red confirmed last year that nothing will be announced it 2017. Going by their statement and the recent Tweet, we can safely say that whatever they plan to do is happening in 2018.

A possible reveal in the coming weeks? Yes, please.

Cyberpunk 2077 With Photorealistic Graphics

The Witcher 3 raised the bar for what’s possible in terms of graphics on current-gen consoles and PC. Although it was a strain on the hardware, The Witcher 3 was nothing short of eye candy. But with Cyberpunk 2077, developers are taking things even further.

According to CD Project RED’s job listing, the game will feature photorealistic graphics. At the time, the developers were looking for artists for Cyberpunk 2077.

CD PROJEKT RED is currently looking for talented artists to join our environment art team in Warsaw to work on Cyberpunk 2077. The Environment Artist will create a wide range of photorealistic environments in futuristic settings, covering also physicalized objects and destruction models.

With CD Project RED’s job listing, we got a very good idea that Cyberpunk 2077 will raise the graphical bar for others. However, its rumored development issues still are a cause for concern. But from the looks of it, CD RED has it under control.

Photorealistic Graphics also mean that the PC version will require a really strong rig to run it. Cyberpunk 2077 system requirements are expected to be higher than The Witcher 3.

Cyberpunk 2077 Wishlist and Gameplay

Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay details are yet to arrive but we know that it is a sci-fi RPG. It is bigger than The Witcher 3 and will feature side quests, and other activities for the player to engage in, besides the main storyline. The game is set in the year 2077 inside a corrupt and tech-advanced world.

The gripping multi-thread story is set in a sandbox environment of a detailed Night City. The game features “pen&paper” style RPG mechanics that are upgraded for this game. A massive range of weapons, upgrades, and cool gadgets that will reflect 50 years of human progress.

Romance

Romance is a key element in The Witcher games and we want to see it again in Cyberpunk 2077. Building relationships within a game adds depth to the emotional connection we create with in-game characters. We end up caring about NPCs and our choices are impacted by our feeling for these characters.

And of course, we need sci-fi sex!

Avoid Deus Ex

Deus Ex is a great franchise on its own but we do not want Cyberpunk to end up being a Deus Ex spin-off. Unique and fresh ideas are the way to go with Cyberpunk 2077. Blade Runner is a great product to look at for developers if they need inspiration. The game features a wide range of implants and tech modification that we expect to be original. The good news is that this is exactly what the developers plan to do. CD Project Red’s press release stated:

The cyberpunk atmosphere, well known from William Gibson’s novels, the “Blade Runner” movie and the famous pen-and-paper game, “Cyberpunk 2020”, will surround the player. The creators promise that “Cyberpunk 2077” will be true to the essence of the cyberpunk genre. Players will be thrown into the dark future of the year 2077 and into a world where advanced technologies have become both the salvation and the curse of humanity. A multi-thread, nonlinear story designed for mature players (a CD Projekt RED trademark) will take place in the sprawling metropolis of Night City and its surroundings. Players will have a chance to visit places well known from “Cyberpunk 2020”, including a combat zone completely taken over by gangs, the legendary Afterlife joint and the nostalgic Forlorn Hope.

More Than One City

The Witcher 3 features a handful of cities and areas of exploration and we want the same from Cyberpunk 2077. However, we have only heard of the Night City which makes us wonder if we get to explore only one gigantic place or more?

Finest of Voice Actors

Great voice acting is what makes or breaks storytelling. Thankfully, if there is one thing we took from The Witcher series is that CD RED has great taste in voice actors. We expect amazing voice actors in Cyberpunk 2077.
