Cyberpunk 2077 Multiplayer Is In R&D Phase At The Moment, Focus Currently Set On Single Player

After a wonderful success, CD Projekt RED has all of its focus set on its next amazing title, Cyberpunk 2077. While there is so much information out there regarding the various aspects of the game, its multiplayer status is still in question. Although they have announced the Cyberpunk 2077 Multiplayer version, it seems like at this moment it is still in its Research and Development phase.

We came to know of this in a recent interview, Shacknews was able to get with the studio. A lot of questions were answered while a lot were not. Among those various questions, CD Projekt RED spared few lines, for the Cyberpunk 2077 Multiplayer version.

Well, it was less than a line, rather it was a statement to let the fans know that although they have announced the multiplayer version of the game, it still is far from development, at least that is what seems to be the case.

According to the studio, the Multiplayer version is in R&D phase for now because they currently want to focus, on making a “kick-ass single-player game”.

Considering the fact that The Witcher is primarily known for its single-player mode, it seems only reasonable to focus on the single player version of the game.

Having said that, the studio did add that whenever they decide to do the multiplayer it will not be disappointing. Fans should know that they are doing a lot of research, and when they do roll out the multiplayer of the game, they would have made sure by then, that it will stick to the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated titles in the works, we all saw its amazing E3 2018 trailer, and it was not something that can be catered in a single watch, so the studio went out to explain the game trailer. If you want to take a deeper dive into the trailer of the game, then you are in luck.

That said, what are your thoughts about CD Projekt RED bringing in the multiplayer? Do you think it will stick? Let us know in the comments below.
