Cyberpunk 2077 Missions Are Better and More Complex Than The Witcher 3: CD Projekt RED

Cyberpunk 2077 missions are more varied and complex compared to The Witcher 3, according to developer CD Projekt RED.  During a recent interview, Philipp Weber and Miles Tost from CD Projekt RED talked about Cyberpunk 2077 quests design.

The developer duo explained that the quest design of Cyberpunk 207 is created with variety in mind. Cyberpunk has more quest types compared to The Witcher 3. The Polish studio recently brought The Witcher 3 quest designer on the Cyberpunk development team.

Lead quest designer, senior designer, and lead gameplay designer on The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, and designer on the original The Witcher.

According to CD Projekt RED, the development of Cyberpunk is far from over which means there is plenty of work to be done on the missions/quests design. The lead quest designer is Konrad Tomaszkiewicz which has years of experience from The Witcher games.

Konrad Tomaszkiewicz will work on and oversee the development of Cyberpunk 2077 quests.

Cyberpunk 2077 release date is scheduled for 2019, according to a separate studio who worked on the game’s motion cards.

An ambitious open-world game, Territory came on board Cyberpunk 2077 to support brand and marketing with a logo ident and graphics package. Working closely with CD Projekt, we referenced a retro punk aesthetic that alludes to the attitude and energy of the game. Unveiled at E3 2018, we look forward to a 2019 release.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be at E3 2019 where CD Projekt RED is expected to reveal a release date for the game. Fall 2019 release date for Cyberpunk 2077 is highly likely at this point as the marketing campaign for the title has begun.

The release date is probably set for November of this year. However, we can only speculate based on the information we have. What’s interesting is the fact that CD Projekt RED plans to release another AAA RPG by 2021.

This information makes a 2019 release date for Cyberpunk 2077 more likely. We will have to wait and see where how things unfold at E3 2019.
