Isaiah Jaxon in Crackdown 3 is the Giant and Crazy Version of Terry Crews

Terry Crews says that you don't need to have any knowledge of the previous games to understand Crackdown 3 as it's all about the actor himself.

Crackdown 3 is finally a few days away from its release date and according to Crews, “it’s a Terry Crews simulator”. In a recent interview, the current star of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and former NFL player discussed the upcoming story of the long pending game by Sumo Digital.

Terry Crews plays the main character in the game, Commander Isaiah Jaxon. If you haven’t played any previous Crackdown games in the series then you don’t have to worry about the story as it’s all about the famous actor himself.

Crackdown 2 released back in 2010 so not many people have played it so it’s a good thing to know. The game’s world is also bigger than the previous games. According to Crews:

It’s kinda standalone. You don’t really have to have played the first two Crackdowns in order to be a part of this one.

Right now it’s actually, you know, the biggest, most giant, most crazy version, which is a lot like me [laughs]. I tell people it’s the Terry Crews simulator.

That’s some good news and who wouldn’t want to play a Terry Crews simulator. The man himself is a big fan of gaming in general and he’s now back because of his son who’s not a big fan of football like his father.

In the same interview with Pedestian.tv, he also talked about how playing a role in a video game was challenging as compared to an actor for a movie or a show.

What’s really strange and different as an actor being on set, is that I’m used to using props. I’m used to grabbing props and grabbing things and, you know, sitting down here and moving over there and kinda seeing the world as it is, and it puts you in your place.

As for when is Crackdown 3 coming out? It arrives on February 15, 2019, for Xbox One and PC. If you want some extra swag then you can pre-order Crackdown 3 from GameStop to receive a free pair of limited edition socks as a bonus.

There are already gameplays previews for Crackdown 3 and after watching them on thing is clear, Microsoft needs to bring us more titles like this in the future, but obviously without years of delay.
