We knew it was happening but now it’s officially set in stone. Burnout Paradise Remastered has just been announced by publisher Electronic Arts for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
With a fitted reveal trailer, accompanied with Guns n’ Roses’ “Paradise City”, Electronic Arts invites you to practice your stunts and cause some destruction in the remastered version of 2008’s Burnout Paradise. The game will release on March 16th on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while its PC version is coming later this year.
Burnout Paradise Remastered includes the base game, featuring 150 playable vehicles as well as 8 main DLC packs from the Year of Paradise. Those DLC are:
- Big Surf Island
- Cops and Robbers
- Legendary Cars
- Burnout Bikes
- Burnout Paradise Toys
- Burnout Paradise Party
- Boost Specials
- Cagney
The remaster will support 4K resolution on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, however, native 4K won’t be supported on all platforms. The native resolution is set for 1080p on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
As for its price, Burnout Paradise Remastered will cost $40 on all platforms, which is a nice change to all those $60 price tags we’ve seen recently. Pre-orders are already available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 so if you were hyped about this announcement, go grab it now.
Burnout Paradise originally launched for PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 in 2008 with critical acclaim and quickly became a classic among fans. Since then no Burnout title has been developed and its original developer, Criterion Games, has also noted that they have no plans for Burnout paradise remaster.
Burnout Paradise Remastered arrives for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 16, with its PC version coming later this year. EA Access members can start racing early on March 9 with the Play First Trial with 10 hours of unrestricted gameplay. As expected, all of your progress will be carried through to the main game when it finally releases.
