Amara’s a well-known hero, who’s a Vault Hunter with amazing supernatural Siren abilities that help you bring down your enemies, after pulverizing them with astral projections. To help you do that and more, our Borderlands 3 Amara Builds Guide will help you build the character for different situations.
Borderlands 3 Amara Builds
Here are 12 Borderlands 3 builds for you to get started with your gameplay with Amara the Siren.
1. Ready for Action
With the brawl skill, she can become an un-killable melee juggernaut with numeral synergies. Amara can only have one action skill equipped, but it can be modified with an effect and an element from any tree.
I advise you to equip her with the Downfall ability, although it has a long cool-down, it deals a lot of damage and also spreads your elemental effect.
Have Soul Sap slotted in as well, which grants Amara a 30% life-steal based on the amount of damage dealt by the action skill, thus you will fully heal after casting this ability as it causes a lot of damage.
This is very beneficial for Amara as a solo player. Slot Blight Tiger in as the last pick for this build as this works well with anything that isn’t cured.
You can also choose to swap Blight Tiger with Soulfire from Fist of the Elements tree if you want to opt for incinerator/fire damage with your Action Skill.
More of a mystical build than a brawl build, this build will make use of several of Amara’s abilities while lessening the cooldown time so you’re not left out in the open for too long.
But for that short time, best to have a weapon that will ward off any stragglers; a Vladoff will do.

2. The Deadly Self-Healer
This build makes use of the Mystical Assault and Brawl Skill Trees once more. However, unlike the previous one, we turn to the Brawl abilities for the health benefits.
We wish to maximize our total health while also having strong regenerative capabilities, and a desperation move in Guardian Angel.
Our offensive capabilities almost entirely from the Mystical Assault Tree. Primarily making it an assault build, the health benefits gained from the aforementioned tree also makes this a tank build.
A COV really wouldn’t work with this; a Maliwan would fit due to its elemental advantages!

3. The Bloodied Fists of a Brawler
This is a brawl build, most of your points will be allocated to this particular skill tree, the remaining will go to the Fist of the Elements tree for some added elemental damage.
But the real power lies in your Brawl skills, they will increase gun damage, maximum health, melee damage, shield regeneration, and lower cooldown.
As for Fist of the Elements, you’ll get certain elemental buffs, like an increase in damage and duration!

- Tempest (5)
- Illuminated Fist (1)
- Wildfire (5)
- Dread (1)
Since you want to maximize the Fracture Action Skill, you’ll need to get in close with the enemy, this means you’ll need a weapon that’s good in close combat. A Torgue would suit those situations the best.
4. Nature’s Fist of Fury
This utilizes the Brawl and Fist of the Elements Skill Tree to the fullest! Investing a little bit in almost every ability in both Skill Trees, this is most assuredly a Brawl Build and an Elemental Build!
But even more so than that, it’s a damage build as it maximizes your elemental damage, gun damage, a giant fist courtesy of Fist Over Matter, and, for good measure, you even have some Life Steal capabilities.
Some of the abilities from the Brawl Tree will provide you with some health buffs and regenerative abilities, which will come in handy when you’re in the thick of it!
Due to several of the elemental buffs, a Maliwan seems like the safest option. Although, a Torgue will also come in handy when you activate your Action Skill. Think about it and decide which one suits you best.

5. The Stacked Mystic
This is an assault build, the first one so far. It does utilize some abilities from the Fist of the Elements Skill Tree quite a bit, but its primary source of power stems from the Mystical Assault Tree.
This particular build is designed to give you Rush stacks which are then strengthened by various other abilities. All of this then augments your Action Skill (Deliverance) giving you an absurd amount of damage output.
For everything else we have the Elemental abilities, to help you get those Rush stacks in the first place. An Atlas would work best with this build.

6. With a Dash of Brawl
This is, for the most part, a mystical build. Most of your points will be allocated to the Mystical Assault Tree, but you’ll also be using up some points for 1 ability in the Brawl Tree – Clarity for some constant health regeneration.
The remaining points will be spent on the Elemental tree for some weapon and elemental buffs.
The points you’ll have spent on Mystical Assault though will make this an incredibly fun build as you’ll get some mad rush stacks, cooldown advantages, and supplementary effects for your Action Skill.
A COV will do nicely as the cooldown effects will make the overheating not a significant problem, and the lack of reloading is a plus.

7. What A Rush
You stack Rush and increase Elemental Effects – that’s all there is to it. Okay, maybe that’s too simple of an explanation, allow me to elucidate: this elemental build relies heavily on the Mystical Assault and Fist of the Elements Trees.
From the former you’re granted Rush Stack which improves the Elemental Effects, this is augmented with Remnant and Awakening. From the latter Skill Tree, you gain further Elemental buffs with Anima, Tempest, and Wildfire.
Your Mystical Assault abilities also buff your Action Skill (Soul Sap and Reverberation), allowing you to deal far more damage and get back even more health, making you a fairly difficult person to take down.
Ascendant, Restless and Avatar are all of great use when it comes to your Action Skill. As far as firepower is concerned, Wrath, From Rest, Indiscriminate, and Deep Well have you covered.
To make full use of the Elemental Buffs, a Meliwan would be the best option.

8. If All Else Fails, WHACK ‘EM
An interesting facet of Amara is that she has several abilities that buff up her Melee damage, something that’s not seen much in any of the other characters.
This build is here to make use of this distinguishing trait and enhance it to give players something unique, a fun build that they can thoroughly enjoy.
First things first, you have several abilities that regenerate health, increase max health, reduce damage, and help regenerate your shield, all courtesy of the Brawl Skill Tree.
You’ll also have Soul Sap for whenever you’re running low, and some other Mystical Assault abilities will augment those action skills. As far as your Fist of the Elements Skill Tree goes, you’ll mostly gain some Elemental buffs.
Now, for your melee attack… with Find your Center, Jab Cross, Blitz, and Illuminated Fist, your Melee Damage will skyrocket and you’ll be able to do immense damage to anyone near you, and with all the health buffs, you’re likely not to do in any scenario.
And if things get hectic, you’ll have Reverberation as a backup.

9. Hold Still So I Can Hit You
This is another Melee Build, however, this one makes greater use of Amara’s action skills and effects to assist her in her whacking spree. Most of the Brawl Skill Tree remains the same as the previous one, but with one key difference: Revelation.
For extra damage, you’ll be able to create a Nova and do considerable damage to all nearby enemies, so getting close to the enemy is very much preferred (and why you have so many health buffs).
Your Mystical Assault Tree is also mostly the same, but instead of Ascendant, you’ll have Violent Tapestry.
The biggest difference stems from the Fist of the Elements, mainly in the fact that you use the Phasegrasp action skill in conjunction with Soulfire.
Phasegrasp allows you to hold your enemies in place, letting you use your increased melee damage to shine.
This is a damage build as you have several skills that do immense damage, alongside high health and the ability to do exceptional damage in a close-quarters encounter.
As far as weapons go for these melee builds, anything can do, there are no limitations that can hinder you when it comes to weaponry.

10. Grasp The Elements
As the title implies, this is an elemental build, mostly. In actuality, it’s a very all-encompassing build. It takes into account health, gun damage, action skills, and elemental damage.
The last one is of the most importance however, hence why it’s an elemental build. With the Fist of the Elements abilities – including Anima, Infusion, and Catharsis – you gain immense elemental buffs, which are further augmented by Violent Tapestry.
You’re given some solid gun damage thanks to Personal Space, Indiscriminate and Deep Well, along with some health buffs that are sure to keep you alive and healthy.
The real fun comes from the action skills: Allure and Fist Over Matter. With Allure, you’ll be able to bring your enemies closer and decimate them with Fist Over Matter; both abilities will be more powerful than usual thanks to Ascendant, Restless, and Arms Deal.
Since this is an Elemental build, it only makes sense to pick a gun that furthers those effects, in other words, go pick up the Maliwan.

11. And… Action
Taking a bit from every Tree (mainly from the Brawl Skill Tree) this build is all about making your Action Skill as powerful as it possibly can be.
Your action Skills include Phaseslam and Soul Sap; the latter will give you extra health, which is always a plus, but the real star of the show here is Phaseslam, an attack that has a large area of effect and does considerable damage even in its base form – imagine what it can do with all the buffs you’ll get with this damage build.
The Brawl tree provides you with several health benefits, alongside which you have Vigor and Mindfulness to increase movement speed.
Find Your Center and Blitz to increase melee damage, and a couple of others to augment your action skill.
Mystical Assault is purely there to augment your action skill whereas Fist of the Elements assists both trees, powering up your melee attacks, elemental damage, and upping your Action Skill further.
Since you’ll be moving around a lot and using your abilities more, a COV might work best as you won’t be using that much to overhear it.

12. Attracted To My Fist
Another build that focuses on your Action Skills, but this time we’re going for a most… ham-fisted approach, if you catch my meaning. Yes, this Fist of the Elements Build, makes use of two key skills: Allure and The Ties That Bind.
When combined these two are devastating; Allure allows you to bring several enemies close together and with Ties That Bind, you’ll be able to link them together and do damage to ALL of them.
You’ll also do a bit of extra damage afterward thanks to Laid Bare.
The Mystical Assault abilities are mainly there to augment the Action Skills, lessen the cooldown, increase elemental effect chances, and help Amara gain certain advantages once the action skill has been utilized.
Brawl is primarily there to give you some health perks, along with some splash damage buffs and gun damage increase.
Since this build requires you bringing the enemy to you, a weapon that works in close quarters is a must – a Torgue will do the trick.
