Battlefield V Battle Royale Mode Isn’t the Main Attraction

Battlefield V Battle Royale Mode might be there and but it seems that the war stories are going to be very deep and are going to be the major highlight.

Battlefield V Battle Royale Mode has already been confirmed just like Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Blackout. Venture Beat believes that the major highlight is not the Battlefield V Battle Royale Mode but the single-player war stories instead.

Dean Takahashi mentions that the single-player war stories are what sets Battlefield V aside from Call of Duty Black Ops 4. Battlefield 1 had a strong multiplayer mode but the single player stories were impressive as well. They might have been short, but they were very immersive.

Single-player war stories show us different characters and aspects of World War 2. This is not something that you will find in history books. While these stories might be exaggerated a bit, they are based on true events. Eric Holmes talked about the story mode in the upcoming game and the following is what he had to say in this regard:

We felt we cracked something with the anthology format last time. There was a couple of wins out of that. One was diversity. We could tell very different things. “Friends in High Places” is very different from “Through Mud and Blood.” One is almost a Han Solo, cheeky, over-the-top flyer character, and in the other one the characters are very earnest, earthy, and grounded.

Battlefield V Battle Royale Mode might be there and you might enjoy it like the multiplayer part of Battlefield 1 but it seems that the war stories are going to be very deep. If they are an improvement to what we got in the previous game then this could be the major highlight of the game rather than Battlefield V Battle Royale Mode.

Holmes mentioned that the different characters will be in different locations and will speak different languages so the stories are going to differ from one another. For more information regarding Battlefield V, you can check out the full interview.
