Data miners are now going at Apex Legends and have discovered that solo and duo modes are coming soon. A famous Fortnite leaker called ShiinaBR is now busy digging into the files of the recently released battle royale game.
A new account on Twitter dedicated to the leaks and news of Apex Legends has shared a file which reveals that Respawn is working on solo and duo modes for Apex Legends.
The data miner has some credibility as he previously leaked a lot of things which turned out to be true. Since we all know that Apex Legends is a new game and Respawn Entertainment hasn’t officially announced anything, we should take it all with a grain of salt.
If this turns out to be true then it’s big news as the game only offers three-man squads which is fun but sometimes people want to play alone.
According to the design director Mackey McCandlish, it was all due to the devs “looking for social opportunities, which manifested in this game’s three-man squads, pinging a smart comms system that helps squads coordinate, and respawn chambers keep squads playing”.
There are a lot of questions regarding Apex Legends’ cross-play and it’s likely to happen sometime in the future.
According to the Apex FAQ page, Respawn currently has no plans to support cross-platform play but noted that they are always working on new features and improvements, so cros-platform support might come to Apex Legends.
The developers told Eurogamer that they can allow players to play with their friends over other platforms but cross-progression or purchases won’t be possible.

Apex Legends managed to top 10 million players in just 72 hours so it’s worth a try even if you are addicted to Fortnite. It’s set in the Titanfall universe and provides a different kind of gameplay with character-based abilities.
