Andrew mentioned it was getting a lot of positive feedback. We think it’s a fabulous game, and you’ll see a lot more of it to come after we get out of this holiday window into early next year. And I think our original expectations of the game were probably too low, and thus we think that’s important.

Speaking of the game, Bioware has also noted that it has plans to counter toxicity in Anthem. According to senior system designer Chris Schmidt, it will be a difficult task before launch.

He noted that there are “a few moving parts” to the issue of toxicity. The first issue being the identification and punishment of the ones causing toxicity.

He also talked about some specific steps that Bioware will take to deal with Toxicity. The first step will be to study and apply the methods which have been successful eliminating it.

The approach we have been taking is a proactive one: studying best practices and success stories around the game industry and applying some of those in Anthem,” he continued. “I can’t really speak to details at this point, but I’m working with a holistic plan with the ability to both be proactive and reactive to whatever flavor of community standards settle in around Anthem.

Anthen is an open-world action game in development at Bioware. The game rolls out on February 22, 2019, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
