Anno 1800 City and Building Layouts

How well you choose to organize the layout of your city dictates the efficiency of your individual building plans.

The main idea of a well-functioning and optimized city is to make it convenient for all citizens to have access to public buildings like hospitals, schools, churches, and entertainment places.

This calls for multiple connecting pathways like roads and railway tracks. Such a choice will ensure that the basic social demands of the residents are met.

When it comes to the basic physical requirements responsible for the Happiness of the residents. Farms should be placed such that there’s always a road connecting that to a warehouse where goods are stored.

Routes should also be chosen carefully to facilitate the transportation of goods from the farms to marketplaces and other buildings.

You can also utilize the Anno Designer application to plan out your layouts carefully and strategically as you calculate every bit of land, credits, and materials that go into the creation of that desired plan.

Old World

The Tier 3 layout allows for holding 2880 residents and providing the necessary services to them by giving them equal access to the public buildings. As far as the cost of construction goes, you’ll need to take into account the following numbers:

  • 19,500 Credits
  • x76 Timber
  • x65 Bricks
  • x36 Steel Beams
  • x40 Windows

An upgraded Tier 5 System is completely modular with almost full coverage of services.

In addition to housing 27,651 people in a total of 762 houses and other residential buildings, the layout allows for luxury buildings for a greater happiness rating for the residents. The cost of construction is as follows:

Do note that the layout is for the basic, raw lumber.

For refined lumber, the following layout is the most suited one. The design is pretty self-explanatory. You’ll need both this layout and the one above for processing raw lumber into refined lumber before it can be used for various functions.

#5

Garments

The multiple fields around the sheep farms are organized in a complex manner as to accommodate the knitters in their separate units as well as the large central warehouse for storage of the products.

The layout is designed so that every bit of space is utilized for the purpose of sheep wool and the consequent clothes manufacture.

Meat

Whether it’d be sausages or other forms of edible meat products pertaining to pork, the fields around the pig farms are designed in the following manner.

The presence of two slaughterhouses is efficient for processing raw meat and collecting the output at the Warehouse.

Schnapps

Another resource required by the residents for their consistent Happiness level, the following layout shines above the rest. Be mindful though, you’ll need a medium level Warehouse to work with such a layout.

#8

Bread

The wheat fields and the flour processing units allow for a decent bread-production layout around a central warehouse that doesn’t need to be fully upgraded.

#9

Canned Food

A simple enough layout that will come in quite handy throughout your play-through of the game. The resources to work with are also quite easy to organize.

#10

The hops farm is put to the best of its use by forming a complete production cycle for beer.
