With Nvidia RTX 2080 in the market, gamers are looking at AMD to announce its 7 nm Vega GPUs which will be followed by Navi GPUs. While we wait for next-gen AMD GPUs but, a report has made its way on the internet revealing that AMD Arcturus will be the next GPU architecture following Navi.
As reported by PCGamesN, the GPUs based on the rumored AMD Arcturus architecture will only compete in mid-range GPUs and will be a follow up to Polaris 500-series GPUs.
According to the report, AMD Arcturus architecture will follow up Navi architecture in 2020 and it will be based on the 7 nm+ process node. Not only that, the report suggests that with AMD Arcturus architecture, AMD is returning with real codenames instead of using architecture’s real name.
Speaking of AMD, this is not the only rumor making rounds on the internet regarding upcoming AMD GPUs. Reportedly, AMD Polaris 30 will be based on 12 nm process and the GPUs based on this architecture will roll out as soon as next month.
Not only that, that report suggests that Polaris 30 will see a 15% performance boost over AMD RX 500 series. While it isn’t confirmed but reportedly Radeon RX 680 will be the first GPU based on the AMD Polaris 30.
Aside from its GPUs, AMD will also bring its 2nd-gen Raven Ridge APUs in late 2018. According to the report, AMD has confirmed during Hot Chips 30 that 2nd-gen Raven Ridge APUs will launch by the end of 2018.
These 2nd-gen Raven Ridge APUs will also be based on the 12 nm node process. These 2nd-gen Raven Ridge APUs will reportedly be available for laptops and will be available under the model Ryzen 7 2800H.
AMD has also rolled out Radeon Adrenalin Edition 18.9.3 in anticipation of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Not only that, the Radeon Adrenalin Edition 18.9.3 also brings 5% performance boost for the game along with the support for the Forza Horizon 4.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is an open-world action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft and is scheduled to launch on October 5, 2018, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
